秋元 (A02-2)による総説がPolymer Journalに発表されました．

本総説では，ゲルの表面に出現する自己組織化構造に関する研究の歴史と背後にあるメカニズムを概説しました．さらに，これらの構造を受動的に観察する対象としてではなく，積極的に設計・制御するための方法について紹介を行いました．ECM-細胞界面で生じる現象を物理的に理解する上で，ゲル (人工ECM) の表面領域は避けて通れない要素です．ECM研究を推進する上で基盤となる高分子材料科学の一つの視点を提示できたと考えています．

藤原 (A01-1)らによる総説がMatrix Biologyに発表されました．

本総説では，基底膜が，細胞挙動や組織秩序を制御する動的で複雑なナノ構造であることを解説するとともに，その構造と機能を理解するために必要な最新のイメージング，操作，オミクス解析手法を紹介しています．ECMの動的・多階層的な理解の重要性を強調しました．領域のコンセプトとも一致する内容になったかと思います．

藤原 (A01-1)らによるヒト毛周期の1細胞遺伝子発現解析に関する論文がCell Reportsに発表されました．

本研究では，ヒト毛周期の時系列的な1細胞遺伝子発現解析手法を開発し，ヒト毛周期に伴う皮膚組織再構築の際の16種類の細胞種の状態変化や細胞間相互作用を網羅的に明らかにしました．その結果，毛包が退縮する退行期には，毛包周囲のECMが分解・再構築され，それが新たな皮膚組織の再構成につながることを示しました．
